NO. 91

Nov. 1, 2016: The hockey world was geared up for a high-profile matchup between young phenoms Connor McDavid and Auston Matthews as the Edmonton Oilers took on the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Instead, Maple Leafs forward Nazem Kadri stole the spotlight from the two first-overall picks, registering a pair of goals, including the overtime winner.

Moment No. 91 in Sportsnet’s NHL 100 in 100 is a showcase of Kadri’s night. Not only did he play the overtime hero with McDavid draped all over him on the game-deciding play, he also managed to keep the Edmonton captain off the scoresheet.
