With the Toronto Maple Leafs trailing 1-0 in their first-round playoff series against the Washington Capitals, they found themselves in double overtime in Game 2 on the road. The unlikeliest of heroes, rookie Kasperi Kapanen, ended up scoring the winner to stun the crowd in the U.S. capital.
