In 17 games with the Leafs this season Boyce had just one goal and one assist. The 27-year-old is minus-3 and has been sparingly used on the fourth line during the team’s recent skid.
In 64 career NHL games with the Leafs, Boyce recorded six goals, nine assists and 49 penalty minutes.

There have also been rumours swirling about the team looking to trade its franchise player, Rick Nash. The Leafs are reported to be one of the teams interested in Nash.
Columbus head coach Todd Richards said he is unsure when Boyce will be able to play for the Blue Jackets due to certain immigration issues that need to be solved. Boyce will not play against the Pittsburgh Penguins on SUnday.
NOTES: The Leafs recalled Matt Frattin from the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League Saturday and assigned Jay Rosehill to the AHL affiliate.
