While New York did get into the qualifying tournament, they’re still building up to better days. By points percentage, New York finished 11th in the Eastern Conference and 18th in the league. Of the eight teams involved in the Phase 2 lottery, only Winnipeg and Minnesota finished lower. Had the season not been paused due to COVID-19, it’s likely New York would have been in the lottery.
