The Boston Bruins and Chicago Blackhawks will meet for the 2019 Winter Classic Tuesday at Notre Dame Stadium. The following year’s iteration will be hosted by the Dallas Stars, Sportsnet’s John Shannon reports.

The NHL will announce the news of Dallas’s outdoor game on Tuesday, according to Shannon. The league is also expected to announce that Regina, Sask., will host the Heritage Classic at Mosaic Stadium — home of the CFL’s Saskatchewan Roughriders.

NHL commissioner Gary Bettman is slated to make “special 2019-20 event announcements” during the second intermission of Tuesday’s Winter Classic game, according to a press release.

The Stars have never hosted nor appeared in a Winter Classic or Stadium Series game up to this point. Who exactly Dallas will face appears to be unknown at this time.
