Former Leaf, Flame Hagman signs with KHL

Ten-year National Hockey League veteran Niklas Hagman signed with Lokomotiv Yaroslavl of the Kontinental Hockey League.

Hagman spent most of last season with the Anaheim Ducks and in 71 games had nine goals and 23 points.

The 32-year-old Espoo, Finland native played 770 NHL games with the Florida Panthers, Dallas Stars, Toronto Maple Leafs, Calgary Flames and Ducks registering 147 goals and 301 points.

Lokomotiv is in a rebuilding stage after a tragic plane crash killed the Yaroslavl roster of players last year. The team returned to the ice three months later in a lower level of the KHL and will return to the regular KHL next season.
