No extra discipline for Kesler hit on Granlund

Darcy Kuemper set a Minnesota Wild record for most consecutive minutes with a shutout, but that streak was broken in the third as Andrew Cogliano and Corey Perry scored to get the Ducks a 2-1 win.

Anaheim Ducks forward Ryan Kesler will not receive any supplemental discipline for his hit on the Minnesota Wild’s Mikael Granlund at the end of the Ducks’ 2-1 victory on Friday, according to Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friendman.

Elliotte Friedman on Twitter: “No follow-up supplemental discipline for Ryan Kesler”

With time having run out on the contest, Kesler took a run at Granlund that didn’t sit too well with the Finn’s Wild teammates – Zach Parise in particular.

Kesler earned a boarding major and a game misconduct for the incident.
