Edmonton Oilers defenceman Adam Larsson has been activated off the injured reserve and will play against the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday.
Larsson was placed on the long term injury reserved after fracturing his right fibula while blocking a shot in the Oilers’ season-opening 3-2 win over the Vancouver Canucks. The team originally said the 27-year-old would miss six-to-eight weeks of action.
Last season, Larsson posted three goals and 20 points in 82 games, spending an average of about 22 minutes on the ice per game.
