The Edmonton Oilers have assigned forwards Jesse Puljujarvi and Kailer Yamamoto to AHL Bakersfield.

The move was a long time coming, at least for Puljujarvi, who hasn’t been able to get regular playing time with the big club.

The 2016 fourth-overall pick has appeared in just 11 games this season, scoring once while averaging just 12 minutes of playing time per game.

Yamamoto has appeared in 12 games, averaging 14:29 of ice time.

The 20-year-old has one goal and one assist this season.

He was drafted 22nd overall in 2017.
