Oilers’ Benning suffers upper-body injury in win over Sharks

Edmonton Oilers defenceman Matt Benning suffered an upper-body injury during the team’s 5-2 win over the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday, according to Sportsnet’s Mark Spector.

Benning, 25, appeared to get tangled up with Sharks winger Evander Kane during the first period.

Benning has five points in 22 games with the Oilers this season.
