General Manager Steve Tambellini announced Thursday the Edmonton Oilers have placed defenceman Denis Grebeshkov on the NHL Injured Reserve List.
Grebeshkov suffered a lower body injury during the second period of the Oilers’ 7-2 win over the Montreal Canadiens at Rexall Place on February 11th and has missed Edmonton’s last three games (February 14-17).
Grebeshkov had scored 4-21-25 in 51 games for the Oilers this season to rank eighth in scoring and fourth among Edmonton defencemen prior to the injury.
The Oilers conclude their four-game road trip tonight at Dallas before returning home to open a four-game homestand on Saturday, February 21st against the Calgary Flames.
