Oilers sign defenceman Filip Berglund to entry-level deal

The Edmonton Oilers have signed defenceman Filip Berglund to a two-year, entry-level contract. He will be loaned to Linkoping HC of the SHL next season.

Berglund, 22, is coming off his fourth season with the SHL’s Skelleftea AIK and posted 20 points, 16 penalty minutes and a plus-four rating in 52 games.

The six-foot-three, 206-pound blueliner was originally a third-round pick by the Oilers in the 2016 NHL Draft.
