Oilers sign defenceman Theodor Lennstrom to one-year, entry-level deal

The Edmonton Oilers have signed defenceman Theodor Lennstrom to a one-year entry-level contract, the team announced on Wednesday.

The 25-year-old blue-liner is coming off a three-goal, 15-point campaign in 31 games with Frolunda HC of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL), adding 10 penalty minutes and a plus-nine rating.

The six-foot-one, 190-pound Lennstrom has appeared in 151 career SHL games with Frolunda HC, AIK and Farjestad BK, registering 11 goals and 59 points with 70 penalty minutes. The Stockholm native also played three seasons in Swedish Allsvenskan League, two with BIK Karlskoga and one with AIK, recording 12 goals and 39 assists in 131 contests.
