Oilers sign forward Gaetan Haas to one-year contract extension

The Edmonton Oilers have signed forward Gaetan Haas to a one-year contract extension through the 2020-21 season, the team announced Tuesday.

According to Sportsnet’s Mark Spector, the forward’s new deal will pay him $915,000 next season.

The 28-year-old was slated to become a UFA after inking a one-year, $925,000 deal last summer to join the Oilers out of Switzerland.

Haas — a six-foot, 181-pound forward — has collected 10 points across 58 games with Edmonton in his first season in North America.
