Ouuu…burn.

Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson took a swipe at Toronto Mayor John Tory and the Maple Leafs on Saturday after the Senators clinched a playoff berth by beating the Philadelphia Flyers 3-1.

There was concern that two-straight losses to Toronto late in the season would cost the Senators a playoff spot. Ottawa went 6-2-2 in its last 10 games to help them punch a ticket to the post-season.

This isn’t the first time a Canadian city’s mayor has chirped a fellow Canadian hockey team.

Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshi threw some fun love towards the Edmonton Oilers in 2012 when there were rumours about a move to Seattle.
