P.A. Parenteau to dress for Predators in Game 3 against Penguins

In an effort to shake up the Nashville Predators and inject some more skill into the lineup, head coach Peter Laviolette has decided to dress P.A. Parenteau for Saturday’s Game 3 against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

The veteran winger broke the news to reporters following Saturday’s morning skate.

Parenteau was acquired by Nashville at the trade deadline from the New Jersey Devils in exchange for a sixth-round draft pick but has only suited up for three post-season games registering four shots and averaging 10:04 of ice-time. In eight regular-season appearances with the Preds he managed just one assist.

It’s unclear at this time which Predators skater Parenteau will be replacing. Fourth-line grinder Cody McLeod would be a likely option with him averaging just 06:54 of ice-time and registering one goal and 27 penalty minutes in 14 playoff games this year.
