NEW YORK — Chicago Blackhawks left-wing Artemi Panarin, New York Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist and Minnesota Wild centre Eric Staal have been named the NHL’s three stars of the week.
Panarin led the NHL with seven assists and 10 points in four games to help the league-leading Blackhawks stretch their overall winning streak to five games.
Lundqvist went 3-0-0 with a 0.98 goals-against average and .967 save percentage to backstop the Eastern Conference-leading Rangers to six out of a possible eight standings points.
Staal shared the League lead with four goals in three outings as the Wild extended their winning streak to seven games.
