Panthers’ Aaron Ekblad out vs. Coyotes with sore neck

The Maple Leafs' young guns pounded Columbus, The Oilers and Ducks jostled for playoff positioning while the Islanders took the latest instalment of the battle of New York.

Florida Panthers defenceman Aaron Ekblad will miss Thursday’s game against the Arizona Coyotes with a sore neck.

Ekblad had returned to the lineup on Monday against the Carolina Hurricanes after missing four games with a concussion. According to head coach Tom Rowe, Ekblad’s neck injury is unrelated to his concussion.

In 68 games this season, Ekblad has 10 goals and 21 points.
