The Florida Panthers have agreed to terms with forward Kevin Roy on a one-year, two-way contract, the team announced Monday.
Roy, 26, played in three regular season games with the Anaheim Ducks last season. He posted one goal and five points in 11 regular season games with the Ducks’ AHL affiliate, the San Diego Gulls then added two goals and three points in eight Gulls’ playoff games.
The Greenfield Park, Que., native has appeared in 28 career NHL games, registering six goals and seven points. In his AHL career, Roy has posted 31 goals and 88 points.
The Northeastern University alum was selected by the Ducks in the fourth-round of the 2012 NHL Draft, 97th overall.
