The Florida Panthers have signed University of Maine defenceman Brady Keeper to a two-year, entry-level contract, the team announced Monday.
Keeper, 22, spent two years at Maine, racking up seven goals and and 22 assists in 36 games this season.
“Brady is a promising puck-moving defenceman who possesses strong offensive instincts and plays a physical game,” said Panthers general manager Dale Tallon in a press release.
“He has been a leader for the University of Maine and found success as one of the team’s top defenders. We are excited for Brady to join the Panthers and continue to grow his game.”
The six-foot-two, 194-pound native of Cross Lake, Man., totalled 44 points in 73 games across his collegiate career.
