Panthers sign forward Rodrigo Abols to entry-level contract

The Florida Panthers have signed free agent forward Rodrigo Abols on a two-year, entry-level contract.

Terms of the contract were not released.

Abols, 23, most recently played with Orebro HK of the Swedish Hockey League. The Riga, Latvia native had 18 goals and 26 points in 45 games this season.

Abols has represented Latvia at the world championships four times, and at this year’s tournament had one goal in two games.

He was originally a seventh-round pick by the Vancouver Canucks in 2016.
