Patrick Marleau thanks Sharks fans after emotional homecoming

Two games into his second chapter with the San Jose Sharks, Patrick Marleau is right where he wants to be.

The veteran forward received the warmest of welcomes from fans in San Jose on Sunday night during his first home game with the Sharks since signing a one-year deal to return to the club.

On Monday, he tweeted (via wife Christina’s Twitter account) a message to San Jose faithful to show his gratitude, saying there’s “no where else I want to be.”

Marleau looked right at home in teal after spending the past two years with the Toronto Maple Leafs. He score two goals in his season debut with the Sharks on Thursday in Chicago, a special night for the 40-year-old who’s proving he still very much belongs in the pros, and added an assist Sunday at home.
