The Pittsburgh Penguins and Edmonton Oilers made some roster moves on Saturday, as defenceman Frank Corrado and goaltender Laurent Brossoit were placed on waivers by their respective clubs, according to Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman.
Corrado has appeared in five games for Pittsburgh this season, posting zero points in that span while skating an average of 11:30 minutes per night. The former Toronto Maple Leaf and Vancouver Canuck has eight points through 19 games for the Penguins’ AHL affiliate in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this season.
Brossoit has played a career-high 13 games this season, posting an .886 save percentage and a 3.22 goals against average over that span.
