Penguins re-sign defencemen Derrick Pouliot to a one-year deal

Derrick Pouliot has re-signed with the Pittsburgh Penguins for one year at $800,000.

The 23-year-old defenceman from Estevan, Sask., has played in 67 NHL games, recording two goals and 14 points. His first NHL action was in 2014 and scored on his first shot of his career.

Pouliot appeared in two Stanley Cup Playoff games for the champion Penguins this spring.
