Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby will miss the NHL All-Star Skills Competition due to illness, the team announced via Twitter on Friday.

Crosby is, however, expected to play in Saturday night’s three-on-three tournament.

This is Crosby’s eighth all-star selection. He’s scored 21 goals and 57 points in 45 games so far this season, helping the Penguins rebound from a slow start to fighting for a playoff spot.
