Penguins sign Chris Summers to one-year deal

The Pittsburgh Penguins have singed Chris Summers to a one-year, two-way contract worth $650,000.

The 29-year-old defenceman was a first round selection in the 2006 Entry Draft by the Arizona Coyotes and has tallied nine points in 70 career NHL games with the Coyotes and New York Rangers.
