The Pittsburgh Penguins have signed forward Derek Grant to a one-year contract the team announced on Thursday.
The contract will pay the 28-year-old $650,00 for the 2018-19 season.
Grant played 55 games last season with the Anaheim Ducks scoring a career-high 12 goals and 24 points. In 152 career games the Abbotsford, B.C., native has 12 goals, 19 assists and 31 points.
He was originally selected in the eighth round (119th overall) by the Ottawa Senators in 2008.
