Fernando Pisani was back on the ice with the Edmonton Oilers at Tuesday morning’s skate. Pisani has been out of the lineup since he left the team before a game in Atlanta on Nov. 15.
Pisani left the team while on the road and came back to Edmonton after another bout with ulcerative colitis. The forward has missed the last 20 games because of the illness, which cost him another 26 games last season.
The Edmontonian had already missed the first 13 games of this year because of a bad back. In the six games he’s played Pisani has no points with three shots.
His first practice with the team since he departed due to the disease could be considered a late birthday gift as he turned 33 on Sunday.
