The Montreal Canadiens’ rivalry with the Boston Bruins even crosses over into the world of video games.
Habs’ blueliner P.K. Subban and Bruins’ Selke nominee Patrice Bergeron have been named finalists to appear on the cover of NHL 15.
Fans have until June 1 to vote — by using the hashtag #NHL15Subban or #NHL15Bergeron in posts on Twitter or Instagram — for which player they want to see on the cover of the new edition of the popular video game.
The winner will be unveiled June 24.
Last year, New Jersey Devils future Hall of Famer Martin Brodeur beat Columbus Blue Jackets netminder Sergei Bobrovsky to earn a spot on the NHL 14 cover.
The voting process has been in a tournament style bracket. Bergeron beat Ottawa Senators defenceman Erik Karlsson and St. Louis Blues forward T.J. Oshie to advance to the finals.
Meanwhile, Subban defeated Toronto Maple Leafs sniper Phil Kessel and Los Angeles Kings star Drew Doughty en route to the final round.
Georges St-Pierre, the former UFC welterweight champion and one of the most popular athletes in Montreal, has thrown support behind Subban, as did Toronto Blue Jays star Jose Bautista, while the Boston Red Sox are trying to help Bergeron.
