Jarnkrok picked up an assist in Sunday's Game 6 victory over Colorado.
Impact
The assist was Jarnkrok's first point of the postseason, coming in his third game. Jarnkrok was forced to miss the first half of the series while dealing with an upper-body injury, and it appears that head coach Peter Laviolette is still protecting the Swede to a degree. After averaging nearly 16 minutes of time on ice per game during the regular season, Jarnkrok is averaging just 10:43 through three contests in the playoffs. If Jarnkrok continues to be deployed in a reduced capacity then his fantasy value will be much lower than his 16 goals and 35 points in 68 regular-season games would seem to indicate.
Jarnkrok failed to secure a point in Thursday's Game 4 matchup with Colorado.
Impact
Jarnkrok -- playing in his first game since March 13 -- logged 11:43 of ice time and even got some time on the power play (0:49), but was unable to pick up a point. The 26-year-old registered a lone shot, one hit and a minus-1 rating. During the regular season, the Swede recorded a third straight 30-plus point campaign and could start producing in the playoffs once he shakes off the rust.
Jarnkrok (upper body) will rejoin the lineup for Game 5 against the Avalanche, Brooks Bratten of the Predators' official site reports.
Impact
Jarnkrok's addition to the lineup comes as a bit of a surprise after he skipped line rushes at morning skate, but he will slot in alongside Mike Fisher and Ryan Hartman on the fourth line. Jarnkrok's production may be limited in his return, as he will play on the fourth line rather than seeing top-six ice time like he did prior to the injury.
Jarnkrok (upper body) wasn't present during pregame warm-ups and won't play in Game 3 against Colorado on Monday, Kristopher Martel of Fox Sports Tennessee reports.
Impact
Jarnkrok was kept out of the last 13 regular season games with his injury, and although he was a participant in practice Friday, he'll miss the first three postseason contests too. In the last 10 games before the Swede was sidelined, he was particularly hot notching two goals and five assists, but will have to wait until at least Wednesday's Game 4 versus Colorado to return.
Jarnkrok (upper body) worked as an extra during Friday's practice and is projected to sit out again in Game 2 against the Avalanche, the Predators' official site reports.
Impact
Jarnkrok last dressed for the Predators on March 13 against the Jets, leaving after the contest with his right arm in a sling. The team never announced the extent of his injury, but the 26-year-old pivot continues to nurse it. On a positive note, Jarnkrok practiced with the team again Friday, suggesting he's getting much closer to rejoining the lineup. It's possible Jarnkrok's return will be postponed beyond the opening-round matchup, though a poor showing by the forwards could change plans. For now, it's best to consider him day-to-day, with Game 3 being his next potential return date.
Jarnkrok (upper body) is projected to sit out against the Avalanche for Game 1 of the conference quarterfinals Thursday, NHL.com reports.
Impact
While Jarnkrok reportedly remains day-to-day, he was on the ice for practice Thursday morning, and that leaves hope for him drawing into Game 2 on Saturday. The Swede has increased his point total every year since making his NHL debut in the 2013-14 campaign, notching 16 goals, 19 assists and a plus-20 rating this time around.
Jarnkrok (upper body) is nearing a return and considered day-to-day, Robby Stanley of NHL.com reports.
Impact
Jarnkrok has missed 13 consecutive games, but the Predators are hoping he'll return for a first round playoff matchup with the Avalanche. The Swedish winger has racked up 16 goals and 35 points this season in a middle-six role, and that's where he's expected to slot into when he's ready.
Jarnkrok (upper body) is expected to be shelved for the balance of the regular season.
Impact
A shorthanded specialist who's shown steady progress since entering the NHL four years ago, Jarnkrok can only hope to be ready for the Stanley Cup playoffs. In the meantime, Miikka Salomaki could see additional rink run in the bottom six.
Jarnkrok (upper body) was seen with his right arm in a sling following Tuesday's 3-1 victory over Winnipeg, Adam Vingan of The Tennessean reports.
Impact
Although it originally appeared Jarnkrok collided into the boards with his head or neck, it now seems his injury is to his right arm. There still isn't an official statement regarding the severity and it's unclear if he's dealing with any kind of break or fracture, but his status for Thursday's game versus Arizona is certainly up in the air.
Jarnkrok was helped off the ice by the trainers during the third period of Tuesday's game against Winnipeg, Thomas Willis of the Predators' official site reports.
Impact
The 26-year-old was hit on the forecheck by Winnipeg's Andrew Copp, and appeared to go head first into the boards. After being tended to by the medical staff, he shortly exited down the tunnel, and should have his medical status updated by Thursday's tilt against Arizona. If Jarnkrok isn't able to suit up for the contest, Colton Sissons should move into his third line slot.
