The Nashville Predators put on quite a show this past post-season.

The party-like atmosphere and electric performances had hockey fans flocking to the rink, while those not in attendance wished they were.

Predators fan Andrew Fudge could have been there, if only he’d checked his DMs.

If you head over to his Twitter account, @lilfudge07, you’ll see this tweet he sent back on the morning of June 5 as part of a local contest for fans to score free tickets.

What Fudge didn’t realize is that he actually won.

He tweeted out a screenshot of his Twitter inbox on Monday, more than a month after the fact, showing the Predators’ message to him telling him he’d scored tickets to Game 6. (You’ll recall, of course, that was the night the Penguins claimed the Stanley Cup.)

The Predators responded to Fudge later on Monday with some fitting emojis.

Poor lil fudge. Better luck next year.
