Predators’ Grimaldi awarded one-year, $1M contract by arbitrator

An independent arbitrator has awarded Nashville Predators forward Rocco Grimaldi a one-year, $1 million contract.

Grimaldi and the Predators met with the arbitrator on Sunday.

The 26-year-old set career highs last season, scoring five goals and 13 points in 53 games.

Originally a second-round pick by the Florida Panthers in 2011, Grimaldi has appeared in 90 NHL games with the Panthers, Colorado Avalanche and Predators, scoring 10 goals and 13 points.
