Cody McLeod is heading back to the Music City.
The veteran forward has been traded to the Nashville Predators from the New York Rangers for a seventh-round pick in 2020. The Rangers claimed McLeod off waivers from the Predators in January of 2018.
McLeod, 34, has appeared in 769 career games with the Colorado Avalanche, Predators and Rangers, scoring 72 goals, 127 points and serving 1,623 penalty minutes.
The move comes hours after the Predators acquired centre Brian Boyle from the New Jersey Devils for a 2019 second-round pick.
