Nashville Predators centre Ryan Johansen has been fined $5,000, the maximum allowed under the CBA, for elbowing Tampa Bay Lightning centre Brayden Point during the second period of their game Tuesday, the NHL’s Department of Player Safety announced.
Johansen received a major penalty and game misconduct after hitting Point with his left elbow at 9:10 of the second in the Predators’ 3-2 overtime loss to the Lightning.
