The Nashville Predators signed forward Trevor Smith to a two-year, two-way contract Saturday, the team announced.
Smith, 31, played 17 games for Bern in the Swiss league last season, helping them to a championship. Prior to last season, Smith played for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Pittsburgh Penguins, Tampa Bay Lightning and New York Islanders.
He has 20 points in 106 career games.
