The Nashville Predators have signed Cody Hodgson to a one-year contract worth $1.05 million, the team announced Wednesday.

Hodgson, 25, was placed on waivers on Monday and bought out by the Buffalo Sabres just two years into his six-year, $25.5 million contract with the club.

Hodgson was a first-round pick (10th overall) by the Vancouver Canucks in 2008, and was dealt to the Sabres at the 2012 trade deadline in exchange for Zack Kassian.
