Predators star forward Filip Forsberg suffered fractured hand

The panel spoke about Jaromir Jagr trying to find a way out of the Calgary Flames, the Edmonton Oilers and their struggles and an update on the Filip Forsberg injury.

Nashville Predators forward Filip Forsberg‘s upper-body injury that he suffered on Dec. 29 against the Minnesota Wild is a fractured hand.

The team announced that he will miss four to six weeks with a then-unspecified upper-body injury, but after an Instagram post from New Year’s Eve showed Forsberg with a wrapped hand, Sportsnet’s Nick Kypreos discovered that the extent of the injury was a fracture.

“I made a couple of calls and the next thing we know is that Forsberg suffered a fracture in that right hand,” said Kypreos. “The good news is that it’s not a complicated fracture and they believe that he can come back closer to the four-week period that they talked about than the six.”

The Instagram story in question was posted by teammate Kevin Fiala‘s girlfriend and can be seen in the video player at the top of this post.

In 37 games this season, the 23-year-old has 15 goals and 19 assists and his 34 points leads Nashville in scoring.
