The Oakland Raiders have an important message for their future neighbours in Vegas: Just win, baby.
The NFL club took out a full-page ad in the Las Vegas Review-Journal to relay the familiar message, made famous by the late team owner Al Davis.
It’s a fitting slogan, too, as that’s pretty much all the Golden Knights have been doing lately. The first-year team has made history with each series victory on their way to a berth in the Stanley Cup Final where they’ll meet the Washington Capitals.
The Raiders’ Vegas-based rooting interest isn’t just limited to hockey. They performed a similar gesture for their WNBA counterpart, the Las Vegas Aces, ahead of their first home game on Sunday.
The Raiders did the same thing yesterday before the Las Vegas Aces’ first home WNBA game at Mandalay Bay. Mark Davis was courtside for the game. The Raiders’ new stadium across the freeway from Mandalay Bay will be finished before the 2020 season. pic.twitter.com/0GBnvMkmPb

The Raiders are due to arrive in Vegas in time to kick off the 2020 season in their new home, which is currently being built. The NFL approved the Raiders’ move from Oakland to Vegas back in March 2017.
