Rangers acquire goalie Jean-Francois Berube from Flyers for futures

The New York Rangers acquired goaltender Jean-Francois Berube from the Philadelphia Flyers on Wednesday for future considerations.

Berube hasn’t appeared in an NHL game since the 2017-18 season with the Chicago Blackhawks and has played with the AHL’s Lehigh Valley Phantoms this season.

He has a 12-11-4 record, 2.56 goals-against average and .906 save percentage to go along with three shutouts with Lehigh.

The 28-year-old has appeared in 34 career NHL games between Chicago and the New York Islanders.
