Rangers agree to entry-level deal with defenceman Matthew Robertson

The New York Rangers have agreed to a three-year, entry-level contract with defenceman Matthew Robertson. Terms of the contract were not released.

Robertson, 18, was a second-round pick by the Rangers in June’s NHL Draft.

He is currently in his fourth season with the WHL’s Edmonton Oil Kings. In 129 career WHL games, Robertson has 14 goals and 58 points.
