Rangers agree to entry-level deal with forward Ty Ronning

The New York Rangers have agreed to an entry-level deal with forward Ty Ronning, the team announced on Monday.

The 20-year-old has 55 goals and 77 points in 64 games for the WHL’s Vancouver Giants this season, along with a plus-11 rating and 36 penalty minutes. The five-foot-nine, 172-pounder has played 279 career WHL games over five seasons with Vancouver, racking up 121 goals and 211 points.

The Burnaby, B.C., native was selected by the Rangers in the seventh round (201st overall) of the 2016 NHL Draft.
