Rangers’ Desjardins suspended two games for check to the head

New York Rangers forward Andrew Desjardins was suspended on Monday for two pre-season games after an illegal check to the head.

Desjardins hit New Jersey Devils forward Miles Wood on Saturday and was assessed a match penalty on the play. Wood finished the game.

Desjardins was in Rangers training camp on a professional tryout.
