Rangers’ Rick Nash out one week with groin injury

Andrew Ladd’s goal was the game-winner as the Islanders doubled up the Rangers 4-2.

New York Rangers forward Rick Nash will miss one week after sustaining a groin injury against the New York Islanders.

Nash, 32, was injured during the second period of Tuesday’s 4-2 loss to the Islanders.

It’s relatively good news that Nash won’t miss substantial time for the Rangers (17-9-1), who are second in the Metropolitan Division.

Nash has been a big contributor to the team this season, scoring 11 goals and seven assists in 27 games, which ties him for third in team scoring.
