Red Wings acquire RFA Erne from Lightning for 2020 fourth-round pick

The Detroit Red Wings have acquired forward Adam Erne from the Tampa Bay Lightning for a 2020 fourth-round draft pick, the teams announced Wednesday.

Erne, 24, recorded 20 points in 65 games for the Lightning last season.

Across three seasons in Tampa Bay, the 2013 second-round pick (33rd overall) has collected 27 points across 114 games.

The native of New Haven, Conn., is currently a restricted free agent, coming off a three-year, entry-level contract.
