Red Wings’ Kronwall out, Ouellet in vs. Canadiens

Mike Green scored in overtime and the Detroit Red Wings defeated the New Jersey Devils.

Niklas Kronwall of the Detroit Red Wings will take a scheduled maintenance day off when they play the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday night, the second half of a back-to-back, as per head coach Jeff Blashill.

Kronwall has one assist while only appearing in nine games this season, missing time with a knee injury.

Defenceman Xavier Ouellet will draw back into the Red Wings line up in Kronwall’s place.

The native of Bayonne, France has one assist in six games this season.
