Detroit Red Wings forward Tyler Bertuzzi has been suspended two games for punching Colorado Avalanche forward Matt Calvert.
The incident occurred during the third period of Colorado’s victory over Detroit Sunday. Calvert was hit along the Red Wings’ bench, then was grabbed by multiple Detroit players, with Bertuzzi delivering a sucker punch.
No penalty was assessed on the play.
