As you probably know by now, Florida Panthers radio play-by-play man and former NHLer Randy Moller has the funniest goal calls in the league. A few years ago, local columnist Dan Le Batard reached out to Moller and asked if listeners to his radio show could send in goal call requests. Moller accepted and the rest is history.
Highlight reels have been made of some of Moller’s best and Tuesday night the Panthers tweeted out a link to another gem after Nick Bjugstad scored the second goal of the game against the Anaheim Ducks.
You can listen to the call here.
Tonight’s line – “I want a golden goose daddy, and I want it now!” – comes from a bratty character in the classic movie Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
We really need to hear more of these and wish the Panthers would tweet out links to all of Moller’s excellent pop culture goal calls. For now, here’s a taste of some Moller classics from one of the highlight reels that made him and his calls legendary a few years back.
