At the 2010 Classic in Pittsburgh, Washington Capitals defenceman Mike Green smuggled one of his good friends onto the outdoor ice for the family skate so he could propose to his girlfriend. And yesterday during the post-practice family skate at Philly’s Citizens Bank Park, Isabelle Giroux, sister of Philadelphia Flyers star Claude, was on the business end of the big question.
Prior to practice, Isabelle’s boyfriend Eric told Claude of his intentions and asked how he should do it.
“Just do it on the ice,” the hockey player told him.
