Replay of the Day: With the New Jersey Devils working the puck around the perimeter on a second-period power-play, it takes two forwards crowding the front of Scott Clemmensen’s net to snap a scoreless tie in the Florida Panthers netminder’s postseason debut.
Call it a bang-bang-bang play. The puck changes directions twice and so quickly that the play-by-play guy is uncertain who scores and Clemmensen doesn’t have a chance.
Watch as both Travis Zajac and Zach Parise get a chunk of Marek Zidlicky’s point blast.
Thanks to Martin Brodeur’s bounce-back performance — the future Hall of Famer set an NHL record by recording his 24th playoff shutout just a game after getting yanked — the double-deflected puck proved to be the game-winner.
