Replay of the Day: Datsyuk gets robbed

Replay of the Day: Give Russian illusionist Pavel Datsyuk an empty net to fire at, and 12 times out of 13, it’s in.

The 13th time Florida Panthers’ Scott Clemmensen dives desperately across the crease, extends his paddle and gets just enough of the rubber to deflect it up and out of harm’s way.

Though ultimately succumbing to the more talented Red Wings 2-1 in a shootout, Clemmensen made 31 saves and only surrendered one goal in a stellar effort to give his team a valuable standings point as Florida tries to fend off the Washington Capitals for the Southeast Division crown and third seed in the East.

Later in the game, the ever-creative Datsyuk tried to flip the puck over the back of the net and bounce it off Clemmensen’s back and in. The goaltender ducked and the magician’s trick didn’t work, but the move drew a roar from the crowd and it’s worth a look as well.
